The Potomac at Great Falls

Hi Everyone,

Yup it's me again with a different view than you're probably accustomed to seeing at Great Falls National Park. That's right, there is no falls in this shot. I still thought it was kind of an interesting location and hopefully shows you a different perspective. This shot was taken along the River Trail just a little past the Outlook 3 viewing area.

I have a few more shots I'm working on that I will put up I hope this weekend but who knows.

Equipment:
Shot with a Nikon D800 and Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 lens.

Until next time,

Tim

Memorial Day

Hi Folks,

Today is Memorial Day, we all know someone who knows someone that has lost a loved one or a friend who has served our country. Some of you even post stuff on Facebook reminding us that Memorial Day isn't about barbecues and the pool opening. It's about commemorating the dead. Well don't know about most people but I think most service men and women and other's might disagree. Being able to celebrate and remember is one of the cool things that these folks fought to protect. Sure bow your head and remember them, but don't set aside your freedom to enjoy the day because someone told you it's not supposed to be a happy day. When in fact it is, you woke up and the sun still rose in the exact same way it always does.

Until next time,

Tim

NightWing

I know that sometimes it possible to shoot an image and not fully understand how it will impact me until after I've sat and looked at it, this is one of those images. You would have to know the subject and the logo on the shirt for this image to have any real meaning to the casual viewer. I have been taught to believe that in photography its part of my role to humanity to let them see the world the way I see it. To express a thought, a memory perhaps. But at the very least invoke a sense of being "there". Anyways, this image is more of a personal image one I will more than likely revisit over and again.

Until next time,

Tim

Hoping For Spring

Hi Folks,

It's been awhile since I've had the time to take a few shots and post an image, but when I saw this I knew I had to tell "his" story. :-) This really was just the picture of sad, sad, sad. So I saw this little guy out my back window and I know exactly how he feels. Don't worry little guy Spring they say is right around the corner.

Until next time,

Tim
