This really isn't a photography post but like photography it's part of a journey that I've been on for a bit. As of you might know I've been hitting the pavement initially to get ready for a 5K run in late October. As it turns out circumstances arose that made doing the run wasn't in the cards. I admit that I was pretty bummed about that, but the net result for missing the run was well worth it. Now I hadn't actually run a full 5K in my training runs because, well let's face it I'm getting old and my ability to recover from a run isn't what it used to be and getting motivated to run hasn't been on my list of things until late this year. ANYWAYS the point of this NON photography post is because this past Veteran's Day Tuesday 11 November 2014 I was able to get the distance that I need and with just enough "gas", and by gas I mean energy left over that I could have gone a bit longer. My actual mileage according to Nike Plus iOS App was a whopping 3.4 miles. Yeah I know that's not a HUGE deal for most of you, but its a big deal for me. My next step will be to work up to a 10K run and hopefully by the time I get there I will be already thinking about a half marathon and then a full marathon. :-) Yeah I'm pushing it a bit so yeah scratch that, I'm just doing a 10K for now.
Until next time,
